NAIROBI Davide Calabria Jersey , Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Olympic marathon champion Stephen Kiprotich of Uganda is taking no prisoners in his quest to retain the title in Rio in August.

Kiprotich, who has shifted his camp from Eastern Uganda to Eldoret, said he wants to focus on his preparations without interference.

His win in London Games in 2012 made him the first Ugandan to win gold for Uganda in the Olympics since their debut in 1972.

"I always train in Eldoret for major competitions. I have nobody disturbing me unlike home where there are constant interference," he told Xinhua by telephone from Eldoret, northwest Kenya where he is training.

But with the Olympics still seven months away Cristian Zapata Jersey , Kiprotich is burying his claws deep in training ahead of Tokyo marathon in March.

"I will be running in Tokyo On February 28," he said. "It gives me a lot of motivation and inspiration to train with top athletes like London marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge and World 10,000m silver medallist Geoffrey Kamowror."

The trio are training in the same camp under the Global Sports Communications, which is run by Dutch Agent Jos Hermens.

But whereas they share the same manager, Kipchoge and Kiprotich will be sworn enemies when they line up at the Rio Olympics in August.

Both have expressed their interest to run in the ultimate distance and the Ugandan has much to lose as he puts his title on the line.

"It will be harder to win now that everyone is focusing on me Antonio Donnarumma Jersey ," he said. "That is why I have to train hard. I will go to Tokyo to test myself and see how I rank."

It will be the third time Kiprotich will be running in Tokyo and he is hopeful to be third time lucky. His debut in 2012, Kiprotich was a distant third.

He returned to the Japanese capital in 2015 and was credited with second place finish. Now he is dreaming of lifting the gold in 2016.

"This time I want to fulfil my dream in Tokyo. I want to do better and I do not care what type of rivals will be on the line. We are all a big family, but when it comes to winning, I prefer being on the podium despite training with my Kenyan colleagues," he added.

But he noted that whereas it is important to do well in Tokyo Andrea Conti Jersey , it is the Olympics gold that he wants to defend.

"Kenyans are the best road runners, and that is why I train with them in Eldoret. But I have to let my legs do the talking," he said.

Kiprotich ended a record string of eight consecutive World Marathon Majors by Kenyan men at 2012 London Olympics. A year later in Moscow, he ended another string of Kenyan as he became the first man and second Ugandan ever to win World Championships gold at any event.

However, he faded to sixth at the Beijing World Championships in August.

LONDON Andre Silva Jersey , July 17 (Xinhua) -- Academic 'time detectives' from Liverpool have used 3-D digital technology to reveal the face of a Bronze Age farmer who lived in middle England 4,000 years ago.

Experts from Face Lab at Liverpool John Moores University used the technology based on the study of the man's skull.

The man's skeleton were found in an ancient burial ground in the county of Derbyshire in the 1930s. For the past 30 years the remains have been part of a collection at Derbyshire's Buxton Museum in a scenic area of Britain known as the Peak District.

But until now nobody has been able to imagine what the man looked like in life.

The project is part of a heritage effort to connect Buxton Museum's collections to the surrounding landscape.

Joe Perry, assistant collections officer at the museum, said it was important to put a face to the Bronze Age remains.

Caroline Wilkinson from Face Lab said clay was used in the technique to help build the face.

It was always a thrill to see the process work on ancient people, she said Alessio Romagnoli Jersey , adding: "It's a surprise to people when they look like us, it creates more empathy."

The skull of the man was found damaged inside a stone box at the old burial ground known as Liff's Low.

A type of beaker and a stone pendant were found along with the human remains.

Perry said there was a need for humanity with their Liff's Low skeleton.

"We need to make people think about the skeleton as a person who lived and worked in Derbyshire. We have a duty of care to the deceased, we wanted to emphasize that these are people," he said.

Perry believes the Liff's Low man could be about 35 when he died and spent his life farming within the Peak District.

It is believed the stone box he was buried in collapsed, causing damage to the front of his skull.

The remains Alessandro Guarnone Jersey , along with the image of the Peak District's most famous farmer, will go on public display when the museum reopens in September.
