Just popped in to agree with "drumting" - the ex's on the first page set the tone for the rest of the book, and represent the bedrock of sticking patterns!

I once did a session on a hired kit with 5 toms, I think it was one of Chris Slades'... and I was sound checking it I noticed that, playing one drum at a time from bottom to top, it played "Starry Starry Night" (or Vincent) by Don McLean. In fact I could play the first two or three bars......

there is a definite link between the early grades in both Rockschool and Trinity syllabi, and Drumsense Vol 1. I would suggest, however, that you get a bit more drumming under your belt before you think about any grades, and definitely find a teacher at some point.

Ashton DA30 - really good drum amp!

the Ashton DA30 drum amp. This is an amp I've been using with my TD9, I think it's brilliant and most shops will do it for under £180 in fact I've seen it online for £159! Just thought you'd like to know, it can be a bit tricky when you get an electronic kit but not sure what to ask for when it come...
