Biography

My name is Jack Thomas and I will be aged twenty on the 24th of May 2010.

I was born in a small village on the borders of Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire in the south east of England.

My parents tell me I’ve never stopped tapping my feet and hands, so in desperation, at the age of seven they enrolled me into lessons, which I loved and continued until I moved from the area. During that time I studied with the Guild School of Music & Drama, in Drums and Percussion and achieved Grade 1 to 5 obtaining Honours and High Honours in four out of five grades, playing at Grade 7.

My passion for the drums took me to Brighton after my GCSE’s. I studied at The Brighton Institute of Modern Music, where I obtained a Diploma Plus in Drums and Music Performance. I have been performing since the age of 10!

I then got involved in a few bands and worked in bars to help with fees for the studio sessions and sticks. I’m now concentrating with one band which I set up with a lead guitarist. Over the last couple of years we have been writing and performing constantly, we now have a strong following in Brighton, and have reduced our number of gigs to complete an EP.

My drumming teaching is like a glove that will fit in warmly with my band.
