Biography

Chris began playing the drums at the very early age of 3 and started to have lessons at 6, learning right the way through school untill he was 18. Having finished school he went on to study jazz performance at the world renowned trinity music college in london Since then he has gone on to play along side such artists as Donavon, Alec Dankworth, Clio Lane, The Magic Numbers, Ed Harcourt, Snow Patrol and legendary west end M.D. Tony Stenson. He has also worked in studios in london with engineers and proders like Hayden Bendall (The Beatles, Kate Bush and Katie Melua), Les Davidson (Tina Turner) and many more. His session work ranges from providing music for singer/songwriters to extensive work for soundtacks for tv and cinema, both in the UK and abroad. Chris’s live experience also crosses international borders having toured all over the world working with a wide range of artists in several different genres of music playing drums and hand percussion.

Having decided to start teaching people a skill that has brought so much joy to his life, he started to use the drumsense program as it has so much to offer to people who have decided to start to learn to play the drums. He is able to teach in his own studio in Hever or can travel to teach at the homes of his students.
